Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) for a full-time role with school districts in Kerman, CA. This is a great opportunity for qualified professionals to work in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in the delivery of speech and language therapy services to students.
- Provide therapy in both individual and group settings as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Implement treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for therapy sessions.
- Provide support during evaluations and assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure students' success in the classroom.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License (SLPA).
- Completion of an accredited SLPA program.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of speech-language disorders and therapy techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
